Okay, now let’s look at your old website for a second.
Do you have an SSL on the old website? Here’s how you can tell…
To determine which one your website is, simply go to Google and search for it like this…
Does your old website use http or https?
If your website isn’t using the “s”…
The solution is simple, all you need to do is forward the domain at the domain name registration level. For example, if your domain is with us or with GoDaddy, you can just forward it in the domain account.
If it’s with someone else and they don’t offer Domain Forwarding or they charge for it, let us know and we can set you up with the free Cloudflare solution.
If your website is using the “s”…
We will need to use a free DNS service like Cloudflare.com to utilize their free SSL certificate and also their redirection feature. This is free and it doesn’t cost you anything with Cloudflare nor do we charge for it.
If you’re planning on still using emails at the old domain though, we would need to host the website and redirect it from there. So let us know we need to host the old domain and redirect from our server to allow the emails to still function.
