Creating a Rule in Outlook.com (Outlook Online) to Block a Person’s Email but not Report them as Spam

In Outlook Online, you can create a rule to automatically delete emails from a specific sender (let’s say “Mr. X”) without marking them as spam (because you don’t want to hurt their domain’s reputation, you just want to stop seeing all their emails!).

Here’s how to set it up:

1. Go to Outlook Online:
Log in to your Outlook account and navigate to your Inbox.

2. Open Settings:
Click on the Settings gear icon in the top right corner.
At the bottom of the sidebar that opens, click on View all Outlook settings.

3. Navigate to Rules:
In the settings window, select Mail from the left sidebar.
Then click on Rules.

4. Create a New Rule:
Click on + Add new rule.
Give your rule a name, like “Auto-Delete from [Sender’s Name]”.

5. Set the Condition:
Under Add a condition, choose From.
Enter Mr. X’s email address in the field that appears.

6. Set the Action:
Under Add an action, choose Delete. This action will automatically delete any email from Mr. X without marking it as spam or moving it to the Junk folder.

7. Save the Rule:
Click Save to create the rule.

From now on, any email from Mr. X’s address will automatically be moved to the Deleted Items folder without being marked as spam. You can adjust or delete this rule anytime in the Rules section if you change your mind later.
